The grass cutting and strimming rota has now been sent out and we had an afternoon in the churchyard on Sunday strimming and pulling up groundsel.
We are going to leave an area of long grass over by the back hedge as a refuge for the slow worms and have two pieces of ‘wriggly tin’ laid out in the grass near the edges, again for the slow worms. There are stone piles and wood piles around underneath the hedges for wildlife.
If you feel like spending an hour cutting Ivy off gravestones or where it is climbing up trees please feel free to do so at any time. It is a lovely peaceful place to spend some time and cutting Ivy down is very therapeutic.

I am looking for my MCLAUGHLIN relatives buried in Boraston. Very Rev. Herbert and Hon. Frederica and more. I am in Canada and my father was the grandson of Judge Frederick McLaughlin of Boraston.
