At the last Parish Meeting it was agreed that we would pursue the placement of a convex safety mirror at the junction of the Tenbury-Cleobury road and Boraston village road.
I am pleased to announce that, after a lot of hard work, we have the agreement of Shropshire Highways to erect a mirror.
They wrote:
"I have been passed this email concerning the possibility of a traffic mirror to be installed at the T-junction of the Boraston village road and the Cleobury-Tenbury Road.
I believe in this instance that this maybe a Road Safety Issue and therefore I am happy to push this through. I will make the necessary arrangements to get a mirror installed"
We do not have an installation date at this time and we need to ensure that the mirror's positioning does not impact access to the fields or bridleway.
We will update when we have more information and an installation date.
This should make turning on onto the Cleobury road much safer but in the meantime please continue to take care as we know vehicles travel at speed along that stretch of road.
