On Sunday 29th January 2023, six of us met up in the Churchyard to trim the inside of the hedges, tidy the clippings up , plant two hazel trees, move three of the hedging plants to a better position and move three field maples, which had been heeled in temporarily in about 2019!
As the photo above shows moving the field maples was not easy.
It was a really good afternoon, the weather was kind, the soil had dried out a bit and it was very satisfying to get so much done in a short time.
A massive thank you to Jayne and Chris (Hammermill Farm) Bobbie and Phil and of course the long-suffering Rae who gets roped in to everything!
