As part of the Parish Environment Initiative, two new insect hotels have been set up at Forge Cottage.
One is in a dead apple tree stump situated at ///arrow.proven.retraced and the other is in a pile of branches cut from a damson tree at ///seat.available.releasing.
It is hoped that they will provide shelter for a variety of insects and boring larvae etc. over the coming winter. These hotels compliment the stone hotel situated in the churchyard at ///salad.storybook.flucuate, and will form the nucleus of a chain of hotels throughout the parish.
